This course is a great opportunity to learn the importance of affordable homeownership programs and which resources are available statewide to assist more Floridians with the purchase of a home. A well-informed Realtor® is the driving force that will help more potential first-time homebuyers to become homeowners.

The main focus of the course is the Florida Housing Single-Family Bond Program that provides affordable home financing alternatives through competitive rate first mortgages, coupled with down payment and closing costs assistance to qualified families throughout the State of Florida. Presented by the Florida Housing Finance Corporation (FHFC), their mission is to help fellow Floridians obtain safe, decent, affordable housing that might otherwise not be available to them. The FHFC works with local, state, and federal partners, AND REALTORS, to make their programs successful!

What you will learn:
  • Understand and support affordable housing
  • Understand homeownership programs through Florida Housing (including down payment & closing cost assistance and the MCC Program)
  • Understand other homeownership resources (SHIP, local resources, etc.

ATTENDANCE POLICY
1. FREC requires that licensees attend 90% of instructional class time. Physical presence is required
2. CE credit will not be awarded to students who miss more than 15 minutes of instructional time. Please allow adequate commute time. No exceptions.
3. All students MUST sign-in and out to receive CE credit.
4. Electronic note-taking is permitted on silent devices, only. Cell phone use is permitted during designated breaks.
